Marc is an entrepreneur, educator and business advisor from Harlem, New York. An entrepreneur, Marc launched the Refined Apothecary in 2020 to help provide natural, holistic self-care solutions to help people manage their mental health and physical health during the pandemic and beyond.
Marc advises entrepreneurs, non-profits, small businesses from various industries with his expertise in marketing, branding, financial analytics, sales, and business development.
Marc has worked in the high-pressure environment of Wall Street with premier financial firms, including Alliance Bernstein, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan. As a business advisor, he has worked with food businesses at the Hot Bread Kitchen Incubator in East Harlem, tech startups with the New York Angels and the NYS Small Business Development Center, and businesses of several industries at the Harlem Business Alliance, Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, and Harlem Chamber of Commerce. Marc also launched Mr. Refined™ Magazine, a digital men’s fashion and lifestyle publication in 2013, with a print edition which circulated in 2016. Marc used Mr. Refined™ as a platform for other venues, including print publication, lounge/bar concepts, event promotion and personal styling. Marc has also served as an Adjunct Professor at New York University teaching Digital Marketing in the School of Professional Studies.
